ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ - ΒΑ-ΣΙΛΕΩΣ Nike, wearing long chiton, standing l., hloding stylis with her l. hand, wreath in her outstretched r. hand; low in field l., head of Silenus looking upwards, low in field r., monogram within wreath. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ Poseidon, nude and bearded, standing l., leaning forwards, r. foot placed on rock, holding trident with his l. hand, his r. arm resting on his r. thigh; in inner l. and r. field, two monograms. Head of Athena r., wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with Skylla raising her l. hand to shade her eyes; behind neck, artist signatures [TH - MI] in tiny letters. Rev. Φ - Α - Ρ - Σ Thessalian horseman on horse prancing r., wearing petasos, chlamys and short chiton, brandishing lagobolon with his raised r. hand; the horse wears a beaded necklace and has a B branded on its haunch; below the foot of the horseman, signature HT in tiny letters. BCD, Thessaly II, 642 (same dies); Lavva 174, 154c (this specimen).
